2007: A Year of Change at LibertyJanuary 15, 2008
Looking back on 2007 I can say with no reservations, that this past year brought with it some of the most dramatic changes at Liberty in its long history. And these were welcome changes. In the Fall of 2006, having recognized that Liberty needed to improve, change and grow to meet the challenges of a changing market place. Our goal was, and is, to bring Liberty Electronics (2000) Inc. to a new level as a company by bringing more value to our customers through improving the way we do business, by offering more solutions for a broader range of their needs but to also maintain the core services that have been at the heart of our success over these many years. So in January 2007, we started this long journey to bring Liberty to the “Next Level”. By April, we had our long range Strategic plan in place and we began to formally implement it. The changes were rapid and dramatic:
By December, we had come a very long way, had achieved a significant amount of change, but we also began a very intensive phase of our Strategic plan: to improve how we do business, we started looking at ourselves under a microscope so we could truly understand our strengths and weaknesses, and to begin the process of changing internally. Liberty in 2008 - The Way Forward:As we started the New Year, the obstacles in our path on the road to change, in effect, removed and the way was made clear. Two long time employees, not willing to be put under such scrutiny, departed abruptly. In retrospect, the process we had embarked on would have highlighted their inability to rise to the challenges ahead and they would have left or been let go in due course. Since then, we have brought on new sales personnel who bring fresh perspectives and the capacity to grow with Liberty to the Next Level. 2008 has many more changes in store for Liberty Electronics (2000) Inc. and we are looking forward to the process of change and to serving our customers with a renewed and revitalized team committed to bring you what you need, when you need it.
